Visitors to a gallery will have the chance to appreciate a diverse range of art inspired by South Asia at an exhibition opening next Saturday.

\"home\" at the AirSpace Gallery, in Broad Street, Hanley, features art from five artists either born in South Asia or with South Asian heritage.

Artist and writer Rachel Marsden, pictured, who curated the exhibition, said: "People should come along for the chance to look at and understand art from a different culture and experience traditional and more modern perspectives.

"The exhibition also looks at our culture in relation to South Asia.

"It's about trying to build a dialogue between the two cultures and exchanging ideas between them."

The three-room exhibition, which runs until Saturday, March 27, includes photography, sculpture and mixed media pieces alongside audio and video works.

Exhibition guides will be available from Monday and artists will be giving talks at a later date.
