A Date With Dolly: Michael Ball Meets Dolly Parton R2, 10.30pm

IN THE second part of this series, Michael Ball fulfils his lifelong dream by chatting in depth to the queen of country music, Dolly Parton. He finds out how she keeps her private life private and how she established herself as an business woman.

She talks openly about what she thinks of her own image, and how she even takes her wig off sometimes. She shows off a rather impressive British accent and discusses her Led Zeppelin cover and how she reworked Cole Porter bluegrass-style. She remembers her favourite duets, from Kenny Rogers to Emmylou Harris. The show will also feature tracks from her new Live In London album, including Little Sparrow and Backwoods Barbie in addition to some of her best-loved recordings.
