OPEN-AIR: Actors are gearing up for an open-air production of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night.

The comedy, which stars Jenny Platt who played Violet in Coronation Street, opens on Thursday, June 25 as part of Stafford Festival.

Stafford Castle will provide the back-drop to the performance, which will also star Coronation Street's Eric Potts, who has penned scripts for the Regent Theatre's pantomimes for the last four years, and Victor McGuire, who played Jack Boswell in Bread.

The supporting cast will feature actors from Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire and Cheshire.

The play runs until July 11. Tickets on 01785 254653.
