OVERNIGHT snow and freezing temperatures are causing hazardous driving conditions across Staffordshire this morning.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for ice after several centimetres of snow (up to an inch) fell in parts of the county.

The A53 in Flash has been blocked in both directions because of snow and though other major roads have been treated, emergency services have urged motorists to take care on minor roads.
