CHANGES have had to be made to major plans for improving traffic flow in the city centre after objections.

The proposals are linked to the opening of Hanley's new bus station in the autumn and involve altering bus routes, car parking facilities and creating pedestrian areas.

But concerns were raised by businesses, individuals and groups about the scheme.

They ranged from fears over the impact on visitor numbers through to the loss of disabled bays and on-street parking.
