WADDLE: About 40 youngsters from the Day Care Nursery in Ashwood Terrace, Longton, took part in a Waddle for William in Foley Park. They have so far raised nearly £600 for the Donna Louise Children's Hospice Trust, which helps their playmate, 21-month-old William Simpson, pictured left, and his family.

William, from Meir, suffers from the rare heart condition Mitral Valve Stenosis. He has already undergone open heart surgery twice and may need a transplant in the next five years.

Kelly Finney, nursery deputy manager, said: "Everyone had a really good day."
