Teens' victims afraid to give court evidence
RYAN and Grant Seymour have been causing chaos in Biddulph since they were aged 10.
When police were gathering evidence to support the Asbo application, officers compiled a list of 90 incidents involving the boys that had been reported to police.

PC Steven Meacock, who gathered the information on the incidents, said the majority of people who reported the twins were reluctant to give evidence in court, or even make statements.
He said: "Most of the time people who don't make statements to the police are afraid of repercussions.
"We are having to seek the Asbos as a way of putting restrictions on Grant and Ryan, so the people of Biddulph can go about their business without fear of intimidation or abuse."
But some were willing to give evidence in court.
Joanne Ingram said she had been forced to move house because of the twins' behaviour. She gave evidence about an incident she called police out to in October 2006, where they had gone to her former home in Lynmouth Close to find her stepson.
She said: "There was lots of shouting and swearing. I saw one of them had a brick in his hand. I was upset because it was happening on my doorstep.
"There have been lots of incidents involving my other children too – I moved house because of incidents like this.
"My daughter didn't want me to give evidence because she was frightened of repercussions at school."
She added: "I've told my children to avoid the Seymours. I haven't always gone to the police because I want to keep my children safe."
The manager of Biddulph Valley Leisure Centre, Andrew Alcock, said he banned the twins in January after they and other youths had intimidated staff and customers.
Mr Alcock said he challenged them and was met with abuse.
Darren Ackley described an incident where a brick had been thrown at his car. Jacqueline Prior, who works in High Spirits Off-Licence, said Ryan and Grant had been involved in anti-social behaviour at the shop.
Rachelle Jones described an incident where she and three friends were walking to a car park in Biddulph town centre, when they encountered a group including the twins.
They had made sexual comments. She said: "We walked to my car and got in, they were coming towards it as though they were going to kick off. Grant spat on my car."
A 14-year-old boy also described an alleged assault by the boys and another youth. He said: "One of the twins headbutted me. The other put a cigarette out on my face." He went to the police but his father didn't want to pursue the matter.
Several Biddulph police officers and PCSOs gave evidence about incidents they had attended involving Grant and Ryan where they had been drinking alcohol.
The twins, who go to different schools, have previously signed up to acceptable behaviour contracts, and numerous letters have been sent to their mother Kim Barton, who is a single parent.
Judge Lawrence said he believed Mrs Barton was a responsible parent.

“Lets face it, scumbags like these two will see an ASBO as an achievement! In their social circles (or should that be anti-social circles) if you haven't got an ASBO then you're a nobody.”

“Sorry, mother mentioned in this report. Jugde, if Mrs. Burton is such a reponsible parent how come she was unable to put a stop to this kind of thing going on for 4 year. Belive you me, if these two little gits started this kind of of thing around me I would tell the police right away, point them out, you stand up to this kind of no-good scum, not back down.”
