Teenager sniffed out by police dogs on Northwood roof

A TEENAGER has been arrested on suspicion of theft after police dogs sniffed him out from a mile away while he hid on the roof of a building.

Police were called to reports of vehicle and shed break-ins in the Northam Road area of Northwood at around 12.45am last night.

A dog patrol was able to find the 16-year-old boy, who was hiding on the roof of a building in Birches Head Road.

Two other teenagers, both aged 17, were also arrested on suspicion of burglary.

The teenagers, who are all from Stoke-on-Trent, remain at the Northern Area Custody Facility in Etruria for questioning.
