FUN DAY: Toddlers enjoyed a teddy bears' picnic in the park as part of Congleton's Tasty Town Week.

The week kicked off last Sunday with the town's first ever Food and Drink Festival.

Various events have taken place during the week and they conclude with Congleton Beer Festival at the leisure centre today.

Youngsters and their parents enjoyed a teddy bear's picnic in the park where they listened to stories, had their faces painted and joined in a sing-song.

Town centre manager Jackie McArthur said: "The children had a great time.

"We had about 500 people down at the park joining in the fun and it was a lovely atmosphere.

"The food and drink festival went down a storm and we had thousands of people in the town. "It was a brilliant day.

"We're hoping as many people turn out for the beer festival."
