Takeaway set to be refused
PLANS to turn a sandwich shop into a hot-food takeaway are set to be refused.
Five people have backed the change of use for the shop on the corner of Victoria Road and Cotesheath Street, Fenton.
But Stoke-on-Trent City Council planning officers have raised concerns over the impact the business could have on neighbouring residents.
They are recommending members of the council's development management committee reject the application when they meet tomorrow.
Their report to councillors states: "It would adversely affect the adjoining residential occupiers through noise, litter, smells and general disturbance especially during unsociable hours."
