TV outing for pupil's play area appeal
AN ITV film crew will visit a town bidding to win £50,000 lottery funding for a children's play area.
Central Tonight presenter Bob Warman and a team from the regional news show will be at Newcastle's Queen Elizabeth Park on Tuesday to film representatives of the borough council and St Giles' and St George's Primary School.

PRESENTER: Bob Warman.
A proposed play area at the Orme Road site is one of eight projects in the running for Big Lottery funding.
The bid will be featured on Central Tonight at 6pm on Monday, November 23 as part of the People's Millions contest and viewers will be asked to vote by phone.
The project will be up against an initiative from Wednesbury in the West Midlands.
The park includes the ruins of the 12th century castle that gave Newcastle its name and council officers have joined forces with pupils to design the castle-themed play area.
Councillor Mary Maxfield, member for culture and active communities, said: "Every vote will count so we are urging all residents to get involved.
"The play area, for five to 12-year-olds, would provide opportunities for youngsters to have fun and learn about the history of our area."
The number to call and vote for the project will be released on Monday, November 23.
