Here he explores two of the most personal and individual composers of sacred music, the agnostic Gabriel Fauré and the fashionable Francis Poulenc. Fauré's Requiem is one of the best-loved pieces of sacred music ever written and the composer built his career in some of the most magnificent and fashionable churches in Paris.
