Waking The Dead BBC1, 9pm
IT'S not a pleasant situation to find yourself in – chained and imprisoned in a disused hospital by a madman who intends to force you to donate your organs. Certainly I had to take a couple of days off work to recover the last time a situation like that came my way.

COLD CASE Trevor Eve as Superintendent Peter Boyd and Joseph Mawle as Stefan Koscinski in Waking The Dead.
But this is the scenario facing Eve in tonight's Waking The Dead as Briony's ex-boyfriend, Michael Devlin, invents an alternative version of doctors and nurses, with Stefan as the surgeon.
Thankfully, the Cold Case team arrive at the hospital just in time to find Stefan and Eve making their escape.
And DSI Boyd, for one, is pleased to see Stefan, keen as he is to quiz him as to his previous form when it comes to organ 'donation'. There's a suggestion some donors may have been less than willing. That bloke with the missing ear for one.
However, Stefan again is adamant he only took organs from willing donors. If someone genuinely believes they can survive without a brain then that's not his problem.
Frustrated, Eve tries to get a confession from Stefan by tricking him into admitting he had targeted her as his lover. However, Stefan is one step ahead and, discovering her scheme, smashes her recording device.
Afraid of what he might do next, Eve conjures up an interesting escape plan by walking into a lake. However, despite his fear of water, Stefan follows. The only hope for Eve now is if Stefan can be apprehended by the police pedalo.
