Summer-night Concert from Vienna BBC4, 7.30pm

FROM the grounds of the Schoenbrunn Palace, Katie Derham introduces the Vienna Philharmonic's spectacular summer-night concert.

Daniel Barenboim conducts a programme on the theme of night, including Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, De Falla's Nights In The Gardens Of Spain (with Barenboim as piano soloist), Mussorgky's Night On Bald Mountain and Johann Strauss's Thousand And One Nights. The evening ends with a generous helping of encores and a firework finale.
