TV Preview: Gordon Ramsay: Christmas Cookalong Live C4, 9pm
GORDON Ramsay concludes the current season of live shows with a seasonal action-packed hour as Christmas approaches.
If the advent of festivities fills you with fear, Ramsay says there's never been a better time to learn to cook for yourself and your friends.
And, he says, the three dishes he has chosen for this show really are 'as easy as falling off a Yule log'. Follow Ramsay's step-by-step guide, starting with a delicious chestnut soup with chorizo, a main course of chicken fricassee with bread sauce and pan-fried Brussels sprouts and, to finish, Gordon's special seasonal take on a classic pud, quick Christmas trifle.
To be honest I'd sooner have a box of Kentucky Fried Turkey.
Also in tonight's show, Ramsay gives a seasonal shout-out to Britain's unsung food heroes as he joins forces with them to break three new Guinness World Records – turkey plucking, smoked salmon slicing at speed, and a to be announced 'extreme festive challenge that would make even Santa's eyes pop'. Sounds pleasant.
