Swine flu teacher gets all-clear
THE teacher at the centre of a swine flu alert has been given the all-clear by doctors after completing a course of anti-viral drugs treatment.
It means Michael Lennon, who is also a leading striker for Nantwich Town football club, is no longer in quarantine at his Trentham home. He attended pre-season training at the club last night

It is not yet known when he will be returning to Edensor Technology College, in Longton, where he works as a PE teacher.
Mr Lennon, aged 27, contracted swine flu after spending a week in Las Vegas for his stag party. Another Dabbers player, defender Mark Beeston, from Madeley Heath, was on the same trip and also tested positive for the virus. He has been recovering well at home, but did not attend training.
In a statement, Nantwich Town said: “Lennon has responded so well to the treatment that he is now free to move from the confinement of his home.
“Lennon’s first reaction was to collect his football training kit and head for The Weaver Stadium, where he joined in the first pre-season training session.”

“both of my two young children have had swine flu only last week and do not go this school. they are both now well thanks to the tamiflu. i am 100% for the tamiflu to see how much better it made them, me and my older son also live in the same house and we were not on the tamiflu nor were we offered it and we did NOT catch swine flu from them. so leave the teacher and school alone. if your child gets swineflu put them on the tamiflu right away and let it do its work.”

“Would you put your child or the risk of your younger children, relatives through the risk of catching swine flu if your child went to this school, rather than give them a few days/weeks off? I know i wouldnt. Do we know enough about this virus to know if there is a high risk or not as some people are more vunerable than others?”

“Somehow I think you're right Jonathan. They probably won't trust/belive what the doctors are saying.”

“Perhaps now the slightly morose parents who were protesting will retire back to their homes to watch television, and leave the school to get on with it. But somehow I doubt it.”
