Support vision for college site
I WOULD have strongly supported Tristram Hunt's call for Stoke-on-Trent becoming a 'co-operative council' anyway, but publication of his article on the same day as your full and fair report of our vision for Wedgwood Memorial College makes the case even more relevant and urgent.
Tristram finished his Personally Speaking column ('We must revive proud tradition of working for mutual benefit', Sentinel, June 18) with: "We have a proud history of co-operation in the city. Let's revive its values for the challenges of today".

The foundation and opening of the Wedgwood Memorial College in 1945 was wholly within that proud history of co-operation and partnerships.
Our new plans to revive those values will be on the table shortly for councillors, with the support of all local MPs, to take this 'exciting idea' forward.
