TOM Young and Dave Humphries both netted hat-tricks as Blacksmiths Arms ran riot against Lamplighter – for the second time this season.

Blacksmiths thrashed the Cheadle-based side 9-1 on the opening day of the Division Three season and went two better this time around, racking up an 11-1 victory.

Young, who had scored twice on the previous occasion, and Humphries, who had bagged one, led the charge, while Ben Cross and Matt Bloor grabbed doubles.

An own goal completed the thrashing, with Lamplighter now having shipped 35 goals in their first four games.

In Division One, JCB Lakeside won 2-1 at Cheadle Town End thanks to a Darren Bullock strike and an own goal. Lloyd Dykes replied.

Fulford and The Star shared the spoils after a goalless draw, while it was a point apiece for Draycott Potter and Doveridge, who drew 2-2.

Potter scored through Andy Cooper and an own goal, while it was yet another own goal and a strike from Nigel Clarke that ensured Doveridge finished level.

Cheadle Cricket Club's tasty-looking home fixture against Tean Albion was postponed.

Albion will have to wait until next Sunday to resume their bid for a first Division One championship title, playing away at in-form Uttoxeter Town A.

In Division Two, Fulford and Tean won 7-0 at Stone Town with Adam Prime (2), Reece Bromfield (2) and Jorden Elden adding to two more own goals on a bad day for defenders.

Stone will have a chance of gaining immediate revenge when they take on Fulford and Tean in the reverse fixture this coming weekend.

Dave Archer and Martin Capewell were on the scoresheet as Steeplechase won 2-1 at Three Tuns, who scored through Andrew Dacre.

Goals from Sudbury Park's Tyrone Gibbons and Niall Bytheway levelled out two from Bulls Head's Max Kiddle in a 2-2 draw.

Abbots Bromley took all three points at Fox's Uttoxeter courtesy of goals from David Neves and Drew Wibberley in a 2-1 victory. Will Marren netted for Fox's.

Fox's will take on Three Tuns in an all-Uttoxeter battle in the Ken Green Memorial competition next weekend.

Draycott Potter launch their bid at home to Bulls Head.
