ON November 15, residents from across the country will have the chance to vote for Police and Crime Commissioners.

The newly introduced commissioners will replace the local police authorities in their areas when they take office on November 22 and will have a direct influence on how matters of policing are conducted in their region.

In Staffordshire the two candidates- Joy Garner, standing for the Labour Party, and Matthew Ellis, stranding for the Conservative Party- are holding a debate on Monday, November, 12, starting at 7.30pm at the Breathe City Church on Leek Road, Abbey Hulton.
