Students need free parking
I'm writing in response to your article about student parking.
I'm also a student at Thomas Alleyne's and I used to park in the Argos/Focus car park every day. Now I'm worried that wherever I park I'm going to come back and find a clamp on my car. I definitely think students need free parking.

I would like to comment on the quote from the spokesperson who said customers were not stopping there because there's a full car park. I have never seen this car park full on a weekday. Even on Saturday's there are spaces. Their car park is more than big enough to cater to their customers' needs.
We only ever took up the very small far left end of the car park, so this is not a valid reason in my opinion. The only reason I see for banning us is pure spite as we are doing absolutely no harm parking there. If anything we're helping because if people drive past and see cars parked here during the middle of a week day it's going to make it look popular, whereas now it's empty and it looks like no one shops there. I think MJ Barrett needs to stop being petty.

“I agree with Heather and I think that Argos and Focus are being very shortsighted by threatening students who are going to be their customers now and in the future.
There is a great deal of parking available there and I think the stores should set aside the small car park on the left as you look at the stores for student parking. I use Tesco every day and have never seen the Argos/Focus car park more than half full.
Think of your future customers before you lose them and their parents!”
