Stop letting dogs roam along paths
I AM writing regarding the recent letters about dogs not on leads and roaming around.
I cannot understand why some dog walkers always insist on letting their dogs run off in front of them and do not put them on their leads where there are people around.
One of the worst places for this is Berryhill Fields and the surrounding area.
I fully understand that dogs need their exercise and to be let off the lead to have a good run around (as I have had dogs myself in the past) but surely they can have a good run around in the fields themselves and not on the pathways.

Whilst out walking recently it was amazing how many dogs where running loose on the pathway, come bounding up to you and jumping up at you covering your clothes in their muddy paws.
If you say anything to their owners you are always told: "It's all right, he doesn't bite."
But there is always a first time.
All I am asking is if the dog walkers could just show a little consideration.
