Stoke City: My worst cup experience, says Pulis
by Michael Baggaley
STOKE City manager Tony Pulis described this afternoon's embarrassing defeat at Hartlepool as his worst managerial result in the FA Cup.
-

Goals from Michael Nelson, on 49 minutes, and David Foley, on 76 minutes, gave the League One side a deserved 2-0 victory to condemn Stoke to their fourth successive defeat.
Pulis said: "I am desperately disappointed to get beaten in the third round of the FA Cup. The game wasn't a classic, but we knew it wasn't going to be.
"Up until they got the goal, I thought we were OK. I couldn't see them being a threat to be honest, but as soon as they scored the goal, they deserved to win the game from that point onwards."

“Lets hope he spends the next millions better than he did last time. Kitson is a complete and utter waste of money, Sonko is completely hopeless, Tonge and soares hardly get a game amdy faye looks like championship at best ans so does olifinyana only abdoulaye faye was worth the money. And how on earth can pulis continue to play that clown Pericant he is a sunday league player at best cant Pulis see that everyone else can.”

“My brother went to the match against Hartlepool and said Stoke were a disgrace. They were gutless, spineless no commitment and were an embarassment. It looks like Pulis has lost the dressing room and things need to change around very quickly get your act together Pulis or get out.”

“every 1 at scfc should hold their heads in shame, what a diabolical result/perfomance,they had no fight, spirit, teamwork and as for tp he hasnt a clue, never came out of his dugout, never showed any interest and if he doesnt get rid of some of the lead swingers in the side, then im sorry but he has to go,pericant etc have got to go.we need quality not donkeys in the squad,10 championship players from last season were in that squad, what more do we have to say.totally disgraced we were.enuff tp get a grip or get out,its that simple”

“Well this was on the cards so I can hardly say I'm surprised
At least we nearly matched a side for possesion for the first time this season!
TP honestly needs to get at least 2-players in before another "pool" come to make us even more miserable.
I really fear though we'll end up like we did in August buying poor quality or inappropriate players. The problem is that other than the usual mercenaries who with any quality and ambition will want to come to team struggling to keep its head above water and playing the kind of football more suited to Twickenham? (Has Jonah really retired or can we persuade him to switch codes?)”

“What a shock, stoke losing in the cup to a lower division side. It happens every year. We are a joke at the minute. Fair enough we are playing quite well but we can't put our chances away. Transfer window is open and I thought we would be wheeling and dealing straight away but obviously not. Just hope TP can pull something out of the bag.”
