“It's not a question of staying cool do you know Ron how we signed James Beatie, well our scouts or manager did not sort him out it was Hull who brought him to light and we signed him.Maybe you are in the know you seem very confident i lost confidence when Tony Pulis said we need more scouts out there looking for talent and went on to say we are way behind on scouting terms and you tell me to stay cool”

“Could anybody please tell me if with have now give up on signing Rudolf Austin only i have seen that scouts from villa have been watching him as a replacement for Barry and that Rudolf is very tempted to accept any offer villa come up with.We seem to find players but how many of these targets we identify do we sign not many they end up at other clubs.”
