THE sun was shining, the Brit was unusually warm – and it wasn't long before the place was rocking as stand-in skipper Danny Higgingbottom opened the scoring.

Just before half time "Big Mama" Sidibe made sure that our cup of tea tasted even sweeter as he doubled our lead.

Sir Stan must have been smiling down on Matty Etherington as he topped a great display with a cheeky third goal.

We were then in cruise control as the Blackburn bruisers were soundly beaten.

A 3pm Saturday kick-off and the 300th game of "King" Tony Pulis's reign – here's to many more of them both.
