Stoke City: Wilson closing in on Potters return
MARC Wilson is on target to be back playing for Stoke City next month.
The 25-year-old full-back has been sidelined since breaking the fibula in his left leg in a home match against Sunderland in October.
He hopes to resume action in the Premier League with the Potters in late February and ready to get back to international duty with Ireland a month later.
The former Portsmouth man has confirmed to media in Ireland that he will not be fit in time for his country's friendly against Poland on February 6.

But he reckons he will have reached full match fitness by the time Ireland take on Sweden in a crucial World Cup qualifier on March 22.
"If everything goes according to plan I'll be back and fully fit well before the Sweden game, that's a big target for me," Wilson has today told the Dublin-based Evening Herald.
"The game in Sweden could well define the group so it's a game that I don't want to miss and once there's no problem with the injury I'll be available to the manager.
"I have had a few texts from the Ireland manager (Giovanni Trapattoni) asking how I was getting on, so I was able to tell him that things are on course."
