Stoke City: Tuncay waiting game vindicated, claims Pulis
by Martin Spinks
TONY Pulis believes he was right to withstand public opinion and delay Tuncay's long-awaited introduction as a fully-fledged Stoke player.
-

Pulis came under fire from many supporters clamouring to see Tuncay start his first league game much earlier than his eventual full debut on December 5.
Tuncay has since blossomed into a first-team regular and has arguably been Stoke's most influential player over the past month.

"Sometimes you can play new players too early," said Pulis. "Then they don't play well and they lose confidence and it snowballs then."

“Tony Pulis is the manager, not Jolly Potter or Chris. He see's the players day in day out.
Tony Pulis has taken us from mid-table in the Championship to mid-table in possibly the most difficult league in the world. He has earned our trust; trust him.”

“CYA Tony.....it was not rocket science to see the effect Tuncay would have on Stoke but you were so stubborn and blind to think your negative game-strangling tactics was the route to survivial. We can all see now that you were wrong and should have put Tuncay in from the outset....with Fuller and.or Sidibe as the foil - what you must also realise is that we need a central midfield player who can connect the dots between attack and defence - giving us more possession and ability to control a game for 90 minutes. Get your thick head out of the sand or from where the sun dont shine and give Stoke fans the quality their support richly deserves. Then we will raise a glass of wine with you”

“What a load of rubbish!
Tuncay was as good 2 months ago as he is now!
Look how Stoke 's game
changed against Fulham once he went off.
He should be playing him up front just behind Fuller and Beattie. That would be a positive move. Give him a month to realise attack is the best form of defence......”
