Stoke City: Tuncay pursuing Boro cash
by Martin Spinks
TUNCAY is taking former club Middlesbrough to court to try to win a half-a-million-pound settlement.
-

COURT ACTION: Tuncay has turned to the law in pursuit of the cash he claims he is still owed by Boro.
The City star claims Boro, his employers between 2007 and 2009, still owe him a total of £544,677 in unpaid image, sporting and economic rights.
It is claimed Boro agreed to pay him a total of £3,544,677 for those rights when he first joined them, but have so far only paid £3m.
Tuncay's relationship with his old club is further soured by a second High Court lawsuit against Middlesbrough in which his agent is claiming £400,000 plus interest in unpaid fees.
It is alleged that Mikel Eiguren Arano has only received £800,000 of an agreed £1.2m package for his services in handling Tuncay's free transfer from Fenerbahce in the summer of 2007.
Tuncay joined Stoke for £5m last summer after Boro were relegated to the Championship.

“This is just further evidence of the insanity in the premier league. An agent sues because he has "only" received £ 800k and a player paid who lon last Sundays evidence couldn`t trap cement sueing as he only got £3 million for his image rights what ever they are.”
