CARLOS Tevez's 83rd-minute winner denied ten-man Stoke City a richly-deserved point at home to Manchester United this afternoon.

Tevez struck to send a thrilling game United's way just as City looked like claiming a point in a game both teams had chances to win.

Stoke had served up a superb Boxing Day performance in front of a packed Britannia Stadium. Ricardo Fuller and Danny Pugh came closest for Stoke as they threatened a repeat of their Boxing Day win over the same opponents 24 years ago.

City appeared to have survived the 72nd-minute dismissal of Andy Wilkinson - for a second booking - but Tevez dashed their hopes by stabbing home Dimitar Berbatov's cross.

“Stoke played really well and deserved at least a draw.
Why wasn't Rooney booked? Why wasn't Ronaldo booked?
Why was Wilko booked a second time for a simple foul? Not a nasty foul. Not a foul to prevent a possible goal.
Keep up the good work Tony and the lads it will come good in time”

“Stoke were absoulutely amazing, in no way shape or form were they an embarrasment as some around were predicting. These officials show the bigger name far too much respect, yes Wilko was sent off and rightly, but what about Shrek Rooney and Ronaldo kicking out not even a card, get real refs, were all the same, so please treat us the same, could of had a point out of it, had we got some decisions.”

“Tone have got a plan for Stoke to always raise their game on par with the performance against Man U. We can pretend we are playing them every week. As in at half time I will put a hair net and hair band on, act like a little monstink on the corner flag wth a spiteful elbow ing motion and kick my legs on the floor thrutching like a toddler. What do you think?”
