Stoke City: Season ticket prices frozen... again
STOKE City are freezing season-ticket prices for a sixth successive year, the club has just announced.
Season-ticket holders can renew their seats at existing prices during a one-month window between February 20 and March 20.
-

That means adults can watch games for as little as £18.10 per match - the equivalent of seven free games compared to matchday prices.
The club, which has around 21,000 season-ticket holders, is hoping to expand on the recent trend of younger supporters signing up to the cause.

With that in mind, an adult and under-14 season ticket works out to a combined price of just £23 per Premier League fixture for the 2013/14 campaign.
And as a thankyou to loyal season-ticket holders, Stoke are offering them the chance to buy two matchday tickets at just £10 apiece for a designated game next season.
Chief executive Tony Scholes said today: "We have always ensured that season tickets represent the best value ticket by some distance. This is especially so this time when we are offering for the first time the opportunity for them to purchase two guest tickets for a designated game.
"Being a season-ticket holder is a huge part of a supporter's life and this offer means they have an opportunity to share that experience with family or friends."

“Myself and my son can watch Premier League Football for £434. Thats great value. The additional Sky/Asian TV money can go to further investment at this great club of ours.”

“If you don't like the football at Stoke you can always pay £62 per game at Arsenal! I know what I prefer.”

“Probypotter - the vast amount of money that goes into Spnish football from the media goes to Madrid and Barca. look it up. it would be like Citeh and United getting 80% of the revenue generated from Sky.
even then the tickets cost a bomb. you wont get a ticket that is siupposed to be a tenner for a tenner. more like 3 or 400 quid, go online check it out.
besides being wrong, if you were right i still wouldnt care. i support stoke and onsider it good value for money even withthe added cost of a 310 mile round trip for the home games”

“I do think Vince has a point about ticket prices generally in this country. If you can watch Madrid v Barcelona for a tenner (I kid you not), surely some of the prices charged in this country are ridiculous.
We could choose to subsidise tickets for under 16s even more, or we could - in this horrendous economic situation - give cheaper entrance to those without a job.
This is not me getting at the club - comparatively speaking six years of frozen ticket prices is good, but if we are not going to support future fans with this Sky windfall, when are we???”

“Do people like Vince actually read this stuff before they pontificate about it. I mean I know you're really a Valiants fan, so why you care who manages my club is beyond me. Season ticket sales are no problem for Stoke - 21,000 for this season. How many was it at Vale Park again?”

“I'm thinking about getting in touch with trading standards, we are supposed to be watching football. But not as we know it.”
