NIGERIAN midfielder Seyi Olofinjana says he would love to see his international stablemate Obafemi Martins sign for the Potters.

Newcastle United star Martins looks set for a move from St James's Park after the club's relegation to the Championship with the Potters reportedly among a clutch of club's chasing his signature.

And if Stoke were to sign the talented striker, Olofinjana admits he would happily form part of the welcoming committee.

“Reports today are that Martins hasnt turned up for the start of pre-season at Newcastle. Not very professional. Would Pulis see him as a risk and, after the Bangoura situation, steer clear?”
