Stoke City: Jack Butland axed by Roy Hodgson
STOKE goalkeeper Jack Butland has been left out of England's latest senior squad following Ben Foster's return from international exile.
But the 20 year-old keeper has been included in Stuart Pearce's under-21 squad and looks certain to play against Romania at Wycombe and Austria at Brighton on March 21 and March 25 respectively.

And Stoke boss Tony Pulis says he would much prefer to see Butland, who was 20 last weekend, in competitive action for the under-21s rather than keeping the bench warm in the senior squad.
Roy Hodgson, who managed Foster at West Bromwich Albion last season, was keen to restore the one-time Stoke youth keeper to the full England party to pressure Joe Hart for the number one spot.

Foster, who left Stoke for Manchester United in 2005, had retired from England duty because of persistent back problems and to spend more time with his young family.
England squad for World Cup qualifiers against San Marino on March 22 and Montenegro on March 26:

Defenders: Baines, Cahill, Cole, Dawson, Ferdinand, Johnson, Smalling, Walker.
