KENWYNE Jones's 78th-minute header and an injury-time strike by David Healy sent ten-man Stoke to a 2-0 defeat at Sunderland this afternoon.

Stoke had survived a hat-trick of injuries, a red card and a ferocious penalty appeal

before Jones's header broke the deadlock.

Stoke lost Andy Wilkinson, Ryan Shawcross and Ricardo Fuller to injuries within the

opening half hour, forcing manager Tony Pulis to use all his substitutes.
