Status Quo have rescheuled the date of a concert after being forced to pull out at the 11th hour.

The rock band will now play the Victoria Hall in Hanley on May 4 after being forced to cancel a gig planned for last Sunday night.

Tickets for the cancelled show are valid for the new date and no further action need be taken by ticket holders.

Anyone unable to attend the new date and wishing a refund should return to their point of purchase.

Frontman Francis Rossi, who was forced to pull out from the gig after suffering a throat problem, said: "We hate to have to reschedule shows and hope that the fans realise that these situations are outside our control.

"The throat is much better now and we look forward to seeing everyone in May next year."
