Star student Will is a charity champion too
TEENAGER William Scargill does volunteer work at the Oxfam shop in Leek, organises fund-raising concerts, is president of the student union and is a keen fencer and musician.
And in addition to all that, the Westwood College student has been conditionally offered a place at Oxford University.

Promising Westwood College student William Scargill manages to juggle his studies with charity work, music and even fencing.
Seventeen-year-old William is currently in his second year of A-levels at Westwood and will need three As to secure his place at Oxford, where he hopes to study philosophy, politics and economics.
William, who lives in Ipstones, achieved four As and one B grade in his AS levels. His fund-raising concerts feature student bands including his own.
William is a talented musician and earned a grade eight with distinction in the violin. He also plays guitar, piano and organ.
William says that at this stage he has no definite career plan and added: "I just want to study and learn more about the three subjects I have been accepted for at Oxford, with politics being my favourite subject."
The senior staff team at Westwood have now nominated William in the Bright Young Thing category of the Staffordshire Moorlands Community Awards.
Teacher Dave Lyons said: "We are really proud of William. He is a nice young man who works his socks off and finds time to help others."
A letter Westwood College received from Oxford University about William said: "Will's overall performance meant that he was among our strongest candidates."
On being nominated for the award, William said: "I feel grateful. If I won the award it would be really nice to have my hard work recognised."
