Stalls on offer at summer fair
COMMUNITY groups and organisations are invited to get involved in a summer fete on one of Stoke-on-Trent's largest housing estates.
The Joint Villages Summer Fete 2010 will be the first fete on the Three Greens, off Dividy Road, Bentilee, for six years.
The fete committee has received funding from The Coalfields Regeneration Trust and is using this year's fete to provide information on community groups and services available to local people, as well as promote healthy eating.
The stalls are being offered free of charge, but people will be asked if they would like to make a voluntary donation.
Stall runners need to take their own tables and chairs and also need their own public liability insurance.
The fete, on August 15, will feature live music, a fun fair and stalls and activities.
Fete spokesman John Steele said: "A lot of groups find the event is a great opportunity to tell people about what they do, raise funds and recruit new members."
Anyone interested in having a stall at the fete should call Mr Steele on 01782 231314.
