Eleven flood warnings remain in place across the county following the weekend rain, the Environment Agency has said.
They apply to low lying land close to the rivers Tame, Dove, Blithe and Trent.
Earlier today, Staffordshire Fire and Rescue crews guided 20 sheep to dry land after the River Trent burst its banks near to Rugeley.
The flooding also caused disruption on the A51.
