A STRETCH of busy road was closed due to flooding this morning

The A34, near to the George and Dragon pub, in Stone, was shut off yesterday morning following heavy rain.

Motorists were diverted along alternative routes from the Darlaston Inn pub.

The road has reopened this afternoon.
