Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service challenges film makers to produce safety video
THREE years ago Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service attracted much attention thanks to a light hearted video cover of the Sugababes hit ‘Push the Button’.
The video, which featured a group of employees going by the name the ‘Sugaflames’, was aimed at encouraging people to test their smoke alarms and has since attracted close to 100,000 views on the video website Youtube.

Now the service is encouraging budding film makers to create their own versions- with the advice to “be creative” and to “keep it clean”.
The winning video will receive a £50 Argos voucher as well as official promotion by Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service in their bid to encourage weekly smoke alarm testing.

To enter a video simply post your effort or a link to your recording on to Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Services’ Facebook page.
Entries to the competition must be received by October 31 and the winner will be notified by November 16.
