“What a **** shop! The Co-Op was originally set up to be "A Co-operative" where the staff receive bonuses or a dividend, according to how well the group has performed. They stopped giving dividends out to their workers in the early eighties, despite places like Sainsbury's giving their workers a shareout! I worked eight years for the Walsall Co-Op in the eighties, and I can safely say that it was the worst place I have ever worked at. It's a shame it's not the bosses who lose their jobs, rather than the people on the ground.”
