Staff did all they could following misunderstanding over poppies
I write regarding the article in last week's edition concerning the poppy collection at Morrisons.
I thought your sensational headlines misrepresented the true situation and made it appear that Morrisons were unhelpful and unsympathetic to an old soldier collecting for the Poppy Appeal.

Last week's front page.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
Following a misunderstanding by a junior member of staff, I spoke to their assistant manager.
He apologised for the mistake and could not have been more co-operative.
He assured me that the collector could sit anywhere he liked inside the store for as long as he wished all week and that Morrisons had a policy to assist the poppy collection all they could.
