STOKE Easy Rider Potters remain in contention for National Trophy success after picking up a point from a 47-43 defeat at Isle of Wight.

The Potters established an early lead against the Islanders, who had already beaten Buxton and Mildenhall on their home track.

"We are still in contention to win the Trophy providing we win our remaining home meetings," said Potters team manager Malcolm Vasey.

Stoke have beaten Buxton home and away in the competition and have to face Isle of Wight at home and then Mildenhall home and away.

STOKE asset Gareth Isherwood has agreed to join Mildenhall on a short-term deal following injuries to Josh Bates and Aaron Baseby.
