GARDENERS are invited to take part in a seed and plant exchange.

All Saints Church in Church Lawton is staging the event on Saturday, March 20 from 10am until 4pm.

Reverend Graham Joyce said: "The recent improvement in our weather has been both welcome and dramatic.

"Our seed and plant exchange will help people to find fresh ideas for their gardens without cost. Now that the sun is shining again, many of us want to be in our gardens preparing for the approaching season."

The idea for the exchange came from parishioners Jane Doel and Carol Henshaw.

Jane said: "We hope that people will bring along plants they have nurtured and grown or a selection of seeds to exchange. We have been helped generously by a number of seed companies and have some of their produce to give away."
