Son was treated like a criminal
MY SON was shopping in Iceland in Hanley on August 15 and, to his surprise, he was stopped as he was leaving the store by a security man, who said: "I think you've taken something that you haven't paid for and put it in your pocket."
My son said: "No, I haven't taken anything, all I have in my pocket is my phone."
But he wouldn't have it. The security man didn't take him into a room and search him, no, he was searched there and then in front of all the staff and customers.
I don't think my son has ever felt so humiliated and embarrassed. It was a dreadful thing to do. It never should have happened.

He had no right to do that, especially in front of everyone. As my son had a heart attack last year, it really shook him up.
We've written to the head office and rung, but haven't heard anything yet. Also we've been into the shop to complain.
We're all literally disgusted at how he's been treated and we hope to take it further.
