Son smashed dad's window
A MAN who smashed a window at his dad's home has been handed a 12 month conditional discharge.
Joe Pratt, aged 20, broke the window at the house in Magdalen Road, Blurton, as he wanted to retrieve his possessions after his dad kicked him out three months earlier.
But he cut his hand and did not gain entry, North Staffordshire magistrates heard yesterday.
Pratt's fingerprints were found and experts said they could only have been left by someone reaching through the window.

Pratt, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to criminal damage, following the October 19 offence. He told officers he had no intention to steal and just wanted his own property.
Richard Oldroyd, mitigating, said: "There was property there he wanted to get back. He tried to make arrangements to get it and he was never allowed in."
Magistrates also ordered Pratt to pay £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
