“Good point about clearing your car Stillwater. I was going towards Newcastle this morning when a pillock in a Vauxhall Insignia (12 plate) cut straight across my path. He was not aware of my presence simply because his car was covered in snow apart from the area's which his front and rear wipers had cleared. Even his passenger side mirror was obscured. If you are reading this you idiot it was me that gave you a blast on my horn. Had there been a cyclist there you would now be looking at a charge of causing death by dangerous driving.”

“You're right IcarusRising, its like the world is ending!!!
However, I can't help but think we have only got ourselves to blame. The likes of Russia prepare for bad weather. They dont just get up in the morning, look out of the window and
look in astonishment that there is some mystery white stuff on the ground; just like the weather girl said there would be. The Russians have snow tyres, not ultra low profile"racing" tyres. They clean their windscreens, not just make a "enough" room to see through. They dont just rely on the authorities to sweep every last flake of snow up; they help each other. We all know that weather trends are changing, so maybe we should take that into account when choosing our next car. Otherwise we just have to accept there will be days when we will be disrupted.
Right, I'm just going to phone the council to complain about my lawn being covered in snow before I nip off to Morrisons for 28 loaves!!”

“It's minus 50 in Russia today and life goes on...as usual we have two inches of snow which we knew was coming a week ago and we come to a virtual standstill. If anyone wanting to invade England waited until our first snow fall they'd have no opposition at all, we'd either be panic buying at Morrisons or confined indoors because of Health & Safety...roll on summer”
