PARENTS have been given a sneak preview of a new nursery, at a special open day.

The Starting Point Child Care Centre, based at South Cheshire College, is due to officially open its doors today.

Children also came along to the event yesterday at the nursery, found at the front of the college's Dane Bank Avenue site.

It includes huge indoor and outdoor play areas, under-floor heating and four separate areas where children of different ages can play.

Starting Point caters for youngsters aged up to four and also offers After School and Holiday Clubs.

Play facilities are also available for children to use in a wooded area behind the new nursery building. Centre manager Sam Hart said: "We are very excited about the new nursery, which looks absolutely stunning.

"Children who come here will be able to make the most of fantastic new play facilities in an attractive setting.

"The open event was extremely well attended and was an ideal opportunity for people, particularly parents, to come and take a look at what we have to offer.

"It also gave young children the chance to familiarise themselves with new play areas and surroundings."

The opening of the centre coincides with the launch of the college's new £74 million campus on the same site, which opens on Monday.
