Sir Stan Day: Schools honour football legend (VIDEO)
STAN THE MAN: Today more than 30 schools across Stoke-on-Trent are commemorating Potteries football legend Sir Stanley Matthews.
Pupils are wearing their favourite football shirt to school for Sir Stan Day. Each child will pay £1 for the privilege and will receive a Sir Stan commemorative badge.

Sixty per cent of the proceeds will go to the Sir Stanley Matthews Foundation with the rest going to school funds.
Councillor Derek Capey, Lord Mayor of Stoke-on-Trent, said: "Sir Stan played a huge role in making the city famous, and it's right we should honour his memory."
