Signs spell out ban on boy racers
RACING BAN: Signs have been put up to warn boy racers to stay away from a 'car cruising' site.
A two-year order prohibiting drivers from gathering at Festival Park and causing a nuisance was made at the High Court in August.
-

The order, which applies between 7pm and 7am every day, prevents the drivers of two or more vehicles gathering at Festival Park between those times and causing excessive noise, or speeding, driving in convoy, racing, carrying out stunts, shouting, swearing, or other forms of anti-social behaviour.
The injunction, which covers the entire Festival Park site and extends to Etruria Road and Cobridge Road, was officially enforced from September 14, but signs went up this week.
Any person who breaches the order will have their name added to the injunction and be served with a copy.
If the same person breaches the injunction they risk up to two years in prison, and/or an unlimited fine.
Stoke-on-Trent City Council and Staffordshire Police were granted the ban after failing with a city-wide application.

“So if I now visit Festival Park and happen to enter/leave at the same time as another driver I may now fall foul of the law?
They'll be banning cars from Festival Park next.”
