Shopping centre not fit for 2012
I AM writing to you about the Potteries Centre. I think it should be pulled down as it is out of date for 2012.
They could have a precinct with all the shops, cafes and restaurants and cinema together.
It would make way for more businesses to come to Hanley.
As for the Civic Centre in Stoke, when the council move out it could become an out-of-town shopping centre, so bringing people into Stoke.

“Warren and Juzzah, why pick on someone for simply wanting to improve the city? It's true, Hanley has more than its share of drunks and dossers, along with the scrounging beggars. But it's not the town centre that' physically rundown. it's the environs, Cobridge, Shelton etc. And there's plenty of money for the improvements. We could build a beautiful Shopping Sentre in Fenton or Longton with twenty minutes worth of the cash we are pouring into the Afghan farce.”

“It would cost less the get to Manchester on way then Gerb so why not get out of what you think is a dump and let the people who care sort it out, saying you hate the place so much. We could even have a whip round for the tickett.”

“Why stop at the Potteries centre? I would demolish the whole of Hanley! It got nothing to offer, it's run down, full of dossers, and reminds me of a third world city. It cost 2 quid 50 to get there on the bus and the same to get home. It only costs a tenner to get to Manchester on the train
I rest my case.”

“Seriously??? Think you really need to think about that again!!! Where will the government get the money to give to Stoke council to do this??? Secondly the potteries centre is privately owned so it would be up to the owners if they wanted to knock it down and rebuild it!!! I doubt it very much as the cost of doing this would be immense in a time where everyone is trying to save money!!! How is the potteries centre out of date? They want to extend the potteries to include a cinema and food outlets!!! How would rebuilding the potteries centre make way for new business coming into Hanley??? As for the Civic Centre being an out of town shopping centre I have never heard anything so ridiculous!!!”
