Shooting: Bailey targets Olympics
by Michael Baggaley
SHOOTING star Phil Bailey has the Olympic Games in his sights after earning an England call-up.
The 15-year-old English Skeet expert, from Gratton, near Endon, will debut for the England under-21s when they take on a Rest of The World team at Doveridge Clay Sports Club, near Uttoxeter, on August 5.
Bailey is the youngest of the three-man England team, but has earned his place after battling through the qualifiers.

He scored a combined 388 out of 400 at the two qualifying events to win selection.
Next on his agenda is representing his country in the London Games in 2012.
Having just left school, he is combining practice with running his own shooting supplies shop in Leek.
And he has thanked sponsors Site Hire Services, of Tunstall, for helping him reach the international stage.
He said: "I am proud to have got through. I have been shooting for five years now and this is the third time I've tried to qualify.
"The Olympic Skeet does have some differences and there aren't many places in this area that do it. But that is something I will be looking to go into at the end of this year."
